Here you can submit files you would like to add to the DECtalk Archive. If you're submitting your own creation(s), please specify which name you would like your content to be listed under. It could be your real name, or a selected username. If no name is specified, the content will be saved in the "Miscellaneous" folder.
If your content is in .wav format, you are recommended to convert it to .flac format instead. FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) is a so-called "lossless" audio format, which compresses an audio file to a smaller size, about 60 percent of the original size, without losing any of the original audio. Since FLAC also preserves the timestamp of the original file, no data is lost at all, and virtually all operating systems can play FLAC at this time. If you would like to keep your content in .wav format, or if you do not know how to convert to .flac, please specify this in the "notes" field, and I'll be happy to do it for you. If you choose to only upload a DECtalk text file instead of audio, an audio file of the text voiced by DECtalk 4.3 will also be added to the archive.
If you're submitting an artifact from the past, e.g. a vintage manual or software, you are recommended to first pack it in a zip or 7z archive, to preserve the timestamp of the file(s) in question. Furthermore, if you're submitting a .exe file, or a similar executable format, you are required to pack it in a zip or 7z archive before submitting.
When your content is uploaded, it will be reviewed by the administrator before being added to the archive. If you provided an email address, you will be notified when the content has been added.
If you have trouble with the form, please contact the administrator.
